May Dance

Ok … I’m only typing this on Word cos the internet in my halls isn’t working… Will post this up later… Anyway… it’s summer here and all the heaters in the halls aren’t working… what makes it worse it’s been raining for the past few days… brrrr… I’m wearing like autumn clothing indoors… lol…

Hrmm… exams were good… 1st year is over now!! Whoohoo… yea… erm… still sleepy… usual stuff… rehearsals in the afternoon and gigs at night… getting paid though so I guess it’s alright… Can’t wait to get back to Singapore and feel some heat… never thought I would say that… haha…

Er… hope I get a place in the halls next year too… they said offers would be given out this week… hrmmm… if not… I might have to find a place outside… found an alternative lodging with a few of my friends in case I’m not able to stay inside halls next years… but it’s tentative… quite close to uni though…

My hand’s are really cold… brrr…. Hrmm… I think I’ll go and find something fun to do now… dunno what… lol… ok anywayz… cya you people in Singapore in June…

Joy Spring

One more exam to go and that's it... I'm done for the year... Went by pretty fast tho... well... time flies when you're having fun... I know... it's cliche... bleah...

Went to Sheffield for celebration Sunday... drove up in a 9 seater... lots of space and comfort... Good time... then had an exam on Monday... thought it was at 9am... Got to the music block at 8am and found out that it didn't start till 10 am... urk... practiced for about an hour and a bit...

The exam itself was really long cos it was a performance exam and everyone had to be assesed TWICE... My class is a class of at least 35 students... and if each performance is like 5-10 min long... you do the math... We ended like 5 pm in the afternoon... Saved a near catastrophe in my first performance... but was really pleased with my 2nd performance...

Ok so after that, I had to play for Gareth's (Trombone player) thingy at night... with like all the third years and stuff... quite intimidating... Didn't really like my solo that night but everyone seemed to say it was good... so... not complaining... Then I had to get groceries, got back to bed at 12am... there ye go... left my room at 7 am that day and got back at 12 am... 17 hours of non-stop music and blah blah... life of a jazz musician eh?

Everything's moving by so quickly... Anyway... had my aural exam today... was supposed to be 2 hours... did it in about 25 minutes... triple-checked and all... heehee... yea... amazing how busy I still am even though I've done all my assignments... Gigs here, rehearsals there... Need a break lol... Well, more income for me I guess... Not complaining...

Went to check out Dominic's studio as well... nice setup... Met Gavin, the guy who works with him... He used to play for like West Ham or something lol... Anyway, might help Dom with his solo album next year... see what happens...

Well, the last thing I feel like doing is writing so... I"ll see you guys in Singapore back in the summer...

I'm DONE!!! NO MORE ESSAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOHOOOO!!!! Anyway, the thing is... more people are calling me for performances and stuff... which is a good thing... But I needa strike a balance... :)

Not many lessons this week or next... more performances and rehearsals and exams and stuff... I had a couple of gospel style gigs... I can't believe the amount of talent in the gospel community... they've got some really good singers there... amazing... was blessed... truly... got a couple of contacts too... for future references ;)

Anyway, I'm off to play... can't be bothered to write stuff... haha... bleah...
