In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning
Phew!!! Just got back from the Leslie Cheung tribute gig.... Roger is soooo unorganised!!! He didn't even pay me tonight too!!! sigh... Looks like I'm gonna have to get the cash from him at Marina's place... Thank you party...
Do you know what? The coffee club actually wanted to cancel on me last minute yesterday... cos it was raining... and of all times, they call me at like 4 or 5pm... what nerve!!! I told them off and still played that night anyways... the coffee club is semi-sheltered and guess what... the rain had stopped by then... whatever... Chang and Yado dropped by as well... together with Chang's dad, Philip... Also had Jeremy and Gavin drop by too... Nice seeing them again.... The night would have been perfect if not for the row with the management... sighz... cos strangers were actually beginning to take notice of us!!! and for once they clapped!!! ahh... the sound of applause... euphoric...
Well, last night the rehearsal and photo shoot ended at 230am... got home around 3am then woke up at 730am... Had to do a minus one recording for Mei Jian's musical and Mr Seah (Mei Jian's teacher) came by to pick it up... After that, I went to Raymond's (the sound guy) house to do the same recording... but more professionally.... haha... that other one I gave to Mr Seah was on tape... Oh well, hope Sha (dance choreographer) will be able to work with that... Oh! I also messaged Fiona before going to Raymond's house... but that's private stuff... hehee... sorry guys... all I can say is... hrmm... actually better not... haha... bleah... :)
We got the recording done in slightly over an hour... so I had the luxury of taking my time to go to Mox bar and cafe... Marina was already there... gosh... haha... yea... the gig was ok I guess... but all over the place... very messy... most of it was improvised... it was kinda sad... haha... anyway, I kept asking for my dinner cos that's what I was promised the day before... but the dinner didn't arrive until 5mins before the show... I was sooo hungry I downed all the pasta and lasagne in 3mins!!! Well, other than that, I got a rose from Marina... She really believes in acknowledging the musicians... sweet... told me I was beautiful... aren't girls supposed to be that... not guys? Anyway, I'm too tired to tell you what happened exactly... It's getting late... Hazel cancelled the lesson tomorrow as well... yay... I can sleep in... anyways I'm dead tired...
