Busy and tired but excited! Will be playing for this celebrity red carpet thingy at natural history museum soon... That reminds me... I better get started on my essays soon... rehearsals will be manic! Other than that... been enjoying the summer... some Egyptian musicians and dancers came to teach us about their music yesterday... lol... funky... couple of my friends went trekking through the woods around the campus... I didn't know it was so big! Wanted to check out this monument but decided to go to this old abandoned witch hut... :S creepy... anywayz... the cleaning lady is coming to clean my room so I'm gonna go out and have lunch :P

Too Marvelous For Words

Toooooooo tired....... Toooooooooooo Busy................ I need to get away fromt this and find myself a quiet creek where I can listen to the sound of a babbling brook... lol.... My funk band starts playing after Easter! ^_^ every Monday at the Union Bar... Gonna be fun... Also have a gig coming up that's gonna be at the natural history museum... hehe.. and there's one I might be doing in Montreaux too... other than that... someone hung themselves in the halls... really tragic... right I'm going for dinner... my brain is all over the place...

Walkin' In A Winter Wonderland

It's REALLY snowing this time... whoa! The night before I went out to buy some chinese szechuan lamb and thought to myself... boy it sure is cold out here tonight... a truck drove by and I was like huh? Why is there a truck? Then I realised when I saw it sprinkling salt over the road... and was like oh... cool... it's gonna snow tomorrow...

Today I wake up and find myself gazing out my window at a white landscape... thought I had class... one of the lecturers was there but everybody wanted to snowball fight so I joined that instead... haha... we built this like gigantic snow boulder and stuff... lol... was super fun! got drenched in snow... sounds weird saying that lol...

Hrmmm let's see other than that what's been happening... the funk band is going pretty well... I've met up with a couple of singers... some Russian gal tried to hit on me and had a video shoot for this jazz program in Africa... the new tracks are up on my website... :) Well gotta go for international cafe now...

Let It Snow!

You will not believe this! It's SNOOOOOOOWWINNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!! In LONDON!!!! Woke up 2 days ago... Ok yea I shoulda posted this that day... lol... and the grounds were all white... like a christmas pudding... why does snow make people feel better? hrmmm... I wonder... I didn't manage to get any pictures though... sigh...

Let's see... what have I been up to? Hrmm... Gigging, rehearsing, teaching... the usual... Oh, went to see Meinah off at the airport too... Met up with Melvin as well (no that's not him, that's skippo and me at nando's)... Went to chinatown and hagendas... however you spell that... seems to be doing good... been out with friends and stuff as well... here are some pics....

By the way, I've been starting to get back into real transcribing... like the really really hard solos and stuff... haven't been doing that in about a year... and guess what... I shoulda done it earlier... my playing has improved! It's just these everyday distractions...

Well, I have to admit it... I do miss Singapore! Very much... Look I'm talking like a brit now... AHHhhhhhhhh!!! MUST STOP!!!! LOL! Haiyo... anywayz... I have to go and do my hair now... the barbers here are crap... Oh... the funk band is going well too... Trying to get some gigs soon... if there are photos... I'll let you guys know ^_^

You Go To My Head

Ok... So I finally have time to sit down and write about Christmas and New Year and blah blah blah... Uncle, Aunty and cousins came over to stay at our place in Basingstoke and then go to Wales... Wales was cool... besides nothing to do all day indoors, we did go cliff climbing and stuff like that... next to the seaside... I wrote words in the sand... the beach was nice... raining though... nice country... also feeding the ducks and seagulls by the docks... quite a nice change from learning about m7b5s and X flat major augmented #79 b 25... you catch my drift...

Church was the same again... same old people with their same old groups... sometimes I wonder why people go into this fake accent when they pray... I mean... just TALK normally! urgh... anyway... I watched BORAT at my friends place... it's soooo disgusting... please DON'T go and watch it... it aslo poked fun at the church.... BORAT pretended to be a homeless guy, everything taken away from him and all that... went into church and started 'faking' deliverance... It just dawned on me that for the unbeliever, a protestant church can be really scary... cos when it comes to the songs and you know all that expressive stuff (not saying its wrong), one can be unsure whether or not he/she wants Jesus... That explains what I'm trying to say a lot better than I can... comments? Anyway, I've been drifting a bit... Better start concentrating on my studies again... I haven't practiced in 2 weeks and a bit... Oh well... I need inspiration and I need it soon... Oh yea... my friend's friend got murdered just a few days ago... and one of my other friend's dad died... harsh times... Just hope this new year is gonna be better...
